QIU Anxiong

QIU Anxiong (b.1972, Chengdu, China) is part of a new generation of Chinese artists synthesizing Chinese culture and history with global contemporary art through addressing new utopias produced by real conditions of globalization. His work was featured in numerous exhibitions at key museums and galleries, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Arken Museum of Modern Art in Copenhagen. His work was also included in the 54th Venice Biennale, the 29th Sao Paulo Biennale, the 6th Biennial Shanghai, and the 4th Ink Painting Art Biennale Tai Pei, Taiwan, among others.
